B&HIn 1849, my great-great-grandfather R.M. Hamilton partnered with L.L. Baker to supply tools and provisions to miners and ranchers from a canvas tent in Gold Country. Soon, Baker & Hamilton began to sell hardware and their own manufactured farm tools. The label on our estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon pays tribute to the legendary B&H catalogues, pages packed with equipment illustrations. Today, we farm with variations of those same tools in my family’s Oakville vineyard.

Baker & Hamilton Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is available only through purveyors of fine wine and at select restaurants in California. Please visit our Stockists page for information about acquiring our wine, and while you’re there, be sure to sign our Guest Book.

Thank you, and let’s raise a toast to the merchants and farmers who established early California agriculture!  –Bruce Phillips

“Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon boldly bursts from the glass with up-front scents of crushed black cherries, boysenberry preserves, and blueberry pie, leading to hints of anise, sandalwood, and dusty soil. Full-bodied, the palate is jam-packed with black and blue fruit preserves flavors, supported by plush tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and spicy.” —Lisa Perrotti-Brown
